The IGRIP(R) 3D graphics-based simulation software products provide adynamic environment in which to verify production concepts, workcelldesigns and manufacturing processes before implementing them on the shopfloor. After verification is complete, automated factory floor devices,such as robots, can be programmed off-line. IGRIP provides interactiveprogram debugging for increased production reliability, man/machinesafety and productivity.IGRIP includes built-in libraries of robots, common production equipmentand application-specific tooling, such as spot weld guns. Theselibraries, an integrated CAD system and data translators for IGES,DXF andother file formats support the rapdi developemnt of acccurate simulationmodels. Simulation and analysis functions include automatic collision andnear-miss detection and automatic adjustment of a robot work envelope fortool offsets and joint limits.
